On Friday, 1 March 2002, 10:30 a.m - 11:00 a.m., HKNVE will celebrate the Kick-off for 2002 KEYS and Summer VE. We will be most honoured to have the presence of Ms Shelley Lee, JP, Director of Home Affairs, to deliver her Keynote Speech, entitled "Community Need and Continuous Life-wide Learning". As illustrated in the e-invitation attached, many leaders from government, businesses and the community will also be present.
This marks the launching of a large-scale community learning in employability skills and enterprise education. Last summer, over 500 postsecondary and secondary students were engaged in enterprise education and submitted their respective business plans and websites for competition. In this exercise, teams of secondary school students were led by IVE "student facilitators" who were guided by their lecturers from our Tsing Yi campus. This year, we plan to involve 3 campuses: Tsing Yi, Morrison Hill and Tuen Mun, with an expected participation of over 1000 students.
This event also marks the launching of the Open Day of IVE Morrison Hill. Hence, it will be held at the Campus Hall, IVE-Morrison Hill, 6 Oi Kwan Road, Wanchai, Hong Kong.
Following this event, a symposium entitled "VE: Employability Skills
and Life-wide Learning" will be held in the two campuses. Click
