Compared with 66 school teams and 381 students last year, the number of participating school teams and students for this year has increased almost twofold. A very encouraging figure indeed! The programme now encompasses three campuses: IVE-Tsing Yi, IVE-Morrison Hill and IVE-Tuen Mun. It offers students an opportunity to learn fundamentals of business skills and employability skills. Students will also be able to learn, to think and act in an entrepreneurial way through teamwork.

Earlier in April, we have recruited from three campuses more than 300 IVE students who will act as Trainee Facilitators for the secondary school teams throughout the summer. During 29 June, 2 and 3 July 2002, the 300 IVE students attended a Leadership Training Programme consisted of two forums and one workshop and was conducted by a human resources expert and the IVE trainers. The programme was well received by our IVE students, who were given training in coaching, communication, self-management and team-building were polished. They learnt how to communicate effectively, how to manage a team, how to handle stress, how to deal with team dynamics, how to develop team spirit among the members and how to act as a responsible leader in a team. We are glad to learn that our IVE students are ready and well-equipped for their undertaking in the summer programme.
