Saying Goodbye to Ruby and Welcome to Ada, Vivien and Yuki

After serving at HKNVE for a year, Ruby Wun left HKNVE on September 13 to take up a new job in the financial field. During the past year, Ruby showed great devotion and dedication on her job and had made great contribution to the smooth running and operation of the Central Office. HKNVE would like to take this opportunity to thank her for her hard work and wish her great success in her future endeavors.

Ada Leung joined HKNVE as Project Associate on August 26 as Ruby's successor. Before joining HKNVE, Ada worked in the Hong Kong Arts Development Council as an Assistant Arts Officer. She was mainly responsible for scrutinizing applications and monitoring the progress of the Council's Three-year Grant, which aims to support the development of well-established and distinguished arts organisations in Hong Kong. With her experience in handling government subvented projects, Ada would assist Irene, Manager-Central Office, in the promotion of virtual enterprise education in Hong Kong, besides the daily operation of the Central Office.

Words from Ada

Time flies, it has nearly been a month since I joint HKNVE. Now I can still vividly recall the first impression I had when I first stepped into the HKNVE office a month ago - every one around was very devoted on the job and hard working. Then, I found out that though work schedule here is always rush and tight, colleagues are friendly and supportive. They would try their best to make every job done given that fact that resources and manpower are always limited. Working and "fighting" hard together, I hope I would have a challenging and fruitful year ahead at HKNVE. Meanwhile, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the former Project Associate, Ms. Ruby Wun, for her effort in setting up the office as it is.

Vivien Kam joined HKNVE as Project Assistant on August 15, in the place of Walter Ng, who left HKNVE on July 31. Vivien formerly worked as a Marketing Executive in a financial technology company. With solid knowledge and experience in organizing various types of marketing events and activities, specifically for the IT field, Vivien will help in the promotion and marketing activities of HKNVE.

Words from Vivien

It has been a busy and exciting month since I joined HKNVE as a Project Assistant on 15 August 2002. The concept of virtual enterprises first came to my mind months ago when I unintentionally entered the website of HKNVE. I had completely no idea about virtual enterprises and never thought I would be working in the Central Office.

It is enjoyable experience to work with HKNVE. My first assignment in organizing the Summer Virtual Enterprise Training Programme 2002 Awards Day & Closing Ceremony has certainly allowed me to learn more about the innovative mode of enterprise education and prepared me for the challenging tasks ahead.

Yuki Wong joined HKNVE in July as Student Helper. She helped us with the SVE 2002 and the day-to-day operations.

Words from Yuki

I am Yuki. And I have been working as a Student Helper at HKNVE for two months. It is my first job in my life, and it is really exciting for me. My contract here will end in November. After that, I will go to study in Perth, Australia, and become a full-time student again. Since I love children very much, I will study a Child Care course in Perth. Needless to say, my job at HKNVE has greatly improved my working skills and IT knowledge.
