The Virtual Enterprise Competition 2002 Awards Presentation Ceremony was held at the Assembly Hall of IVE (Morrison Hill) on 30 Nov 2002 (Sat). The event was a big success with about 100 attendants from different campuses of IVE and secondary schools. There were altogether 14 awards presented to the winning teams in the two divisions, 7 in Division A and 7 in Division B respectively. Awards in each division included Best Mission Statement, Best Catalogue, Best Website, Best Miniature Booth, Second Runner-up, First Runner-up and Overall Champion.
The ceremony started with the welcome speech by Mrs. Irene Lau, Manager of HKNVE Central Office. Our honoured guest Mrs. Agnes Mak, Chairperson of IT in Education Committee of the Hong Kong Computer Society, gave a thought-provoking keynote speech to the audience. Mrs. Mitzi Leung, Principal of IVE (Morrison Hill), talked about the rapid development of the HKNVE. HKNVE would like to thank Rotary Club of Hong Kong for the travel scholarship in the amount of $60,000 and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council for the sponsorship of trophies.
