In order to promote the concept of virtual enterprise (VE), HKNVE organized a meeting with Hong Kong Society of Accountants (HKSA) on March 14 2003 at IVE (Morrison Hill).
Mr. Andrew Wu and Mr. James Kong, Deputy Chairman and Member respectively of Community Service Committee of HKSA, and Miss Cynthia Lee, Administration Officer (Corporate Affairs ¡V Public Relations) of HKSA, attended the meeting.
During the meeting, Mrs. Irene Lau of HKNVE Central Office briefly introduced the history and development of VE to the visitors. Mrs. Elaine Wong, Senior Lecturer of IVE (Morrison Hill), explained the role and functions of business mentors in VE. Miss Ada Leung introduced the two major forthcoming events of HKNVE, VE Competition 2003 and Summer Virtual Enterprise Training Programme 2003. HKNVE expressed its wish to invite members of HKSA to act as Business Mentors, as well as solicited support from HKSA at two future activities. After the meeting, the visitors were invited to tour the Centre for Innovative Learning of BSM Department, where the virtual enterprise office is located. Mr. Wu and Mr. Kong showed great interest on the work of HKNVE, agreeing that the students would greatly benefit from the VE learning model. They would bring the VE project up for discussion at their next committee meeting.
