Visit by Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups |
|
On 4 October, 2001, we received four social workers specialising in youth
activities from the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups. They were Miss
Alice Lui and Mr. Wong Wai Leung from the Tsuen Wan Centre, Mr. Anthony
Wong of Tin Su Wai Centre, and Miss Vivian Chan of the Shaukiwan Centre.
As they are engaged in a programme to help youths acquire entrepreneurial
ships, they were interested in finding out how youths can be trained in
I.T. and business skills using the VE model. They listened to a briefing
session conducted by the HKNVE Central Office and visited its Model Office.
They also had an opportunity to watch a training session for VE students
on the purpose and the required skills in preparing a career portfolio.
Our visitors were very impressed with what they had witnessed, and would
consider ways of incoporating the VE model in entrepreneurship training
at their own centres. They posed for a photo in front of the Centre for
Enterprise Education and Development just before they left. |
